ABOUT THE MONTHLY REGISTRATION DAY FOR PROJECT-BASED RENT ASSISTANCE

The HACM Section 8 Rent Assistance Program has established a monthly registration day for Project-Based Rent Assistance on the first working day of each month. Project-Based Rent Assistance provides a subsidy to help pay the costs of housing at specific buildings ONLY. Please note that the Rent Assistance Voucher Wait List, which applies to vouchers that tenants can take with them to different buildings, is NOT open for new applications at this time.

The availability of Project-Based Rent Assistance changes regularly as apartments become available in buildings that utilize this type of subsidy. In the event that the number of registrations surpasses the program's capacity, a lottery will be conducted to select a manageable number of applicants. Registrants who are not selected may be notified by the email address they provide during the registration process. Incomplete registrations will not be accepted. Registrations may be discontinued at any time if the program reaches capacity.

The buildings that may be included in the registration process when they have apartments available are:

Becher Terrace, 1800 W. Becher Street
Cherry Court, 1525 N. 24th Street
Highland Gardens, 1818 W. Juneau Avenue
